Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team and contribute to the design, development, and improvement of cutting-edge cooling systems and process equipment. This role centers around producing timely, accurate, and high-quality results while leveraging technical expertise and problem-solving skills.

The ideal candidate is a proactive self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment, confidently making decisions and prioritizing tasks independently. This role requires someone who is resourceful, analytical, and comfortable navigating complex systems with minimal direction, contributing to innovative solutions that align with our high standards of excellence.

This is an opportunity to take ownership of the design, development, and improvement of mechanical systems and process equipment. This role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality designs and solutions from concept to production. The ideal candidate will have expertise in SolidWorks and a proven track record of successful project execution in the HVACR or related industries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop compliant mechanical equipment, parts, structural systems, and process equipment from concept to production using SolidWorks.
  • Manage designs using a PDM(Product Data management) tool under a PLM(Product Lifecycle Management) system.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including electrical engineers, project managers, and production staff to deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Conduct design reviews, prototype testing, and troubleshoot design issues during development.
  • Prepare technical documentation, specifications, and manuals.
  • Interpret P&ID (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams), PFD(process flow diagrams), and system schematics.

Qualifications

  • 5-10 years of experience in mechanical design, preferably in the HVACR industry or related fields.
  • Proficient in SolidWorks for 3D modeling and design documentation.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems, structural design, process equipment, and component integration.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes like machining, welding, and fabrication.
  • Knowledge of ASME, ASTM, and other relevant design standards.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with creating P&ID drawings, PFDs, and system schematics.
  • Experience with Revit and other Autodesk tools.
  • Hands-on experience with prototyping, testing, and fabrication.
  • Background in thermal and fluid dynamics analysis.
  • Project lead experience.

  • Manual dexterity for handling tools and equipment.
